Why This Index?
India’s waste challenge is becoming a business opportunity. Rapid urbanisation, battery and metals recycling mandates, e-waste rules, plastic circularity and wastewater treatment are turning waste management from a municipal burden into a listed, investable ecosystem.
The India Waste-to-Value 20 Index tracks 20 of these businesses. The 9 listed names form the 2022 base and later IPOs enter only at scheduled quarterly reviews, while four weighting lenses reveal the effects of scale, breadth, concentration control and investible float.
