Why This Index?
India’s nuclear build-out is a value-chain story spanning prospective operators, engineering, specialised equipment, pumps, forgings and high-integrity piping. As the country expands firm, low-carbon power for its grid and data centres, the companies across this chain deserve a transparent way to measure their performance.
The India Nuclear Energy Value Chain Index starts with 18 listed companies in 2022 and admits later IPOs only at quarterly reviews. Alongside four standard weighting lenses, the dedicated value-chain version limits every stock to 10% and the three prospective operators collectively to 20%, broadening exposure to specialist suppliers.
